Director Anand Ravichandran’s latest project, DeAr, brings together an ensemble cast led by GV Prakash Kumar and Aishwarya Rajesh. The film promises to be a different cinematic experience that explores the complexities of relationships.

GV Prakash Kumar, known for his versatile roles and musical prowess, shared his initial hesitation about the project. “I was hesitant as to what role we would have in his film, but I cried when I heard the story, I loved it so much,” he revealed, adding that he immediately agreed to be a part of the film after hearing the story.

Aishwarya Rajesh, who plays the lead opposite Kumar, expressed her deep connection to the film, stating, “DeAr is a film that is very close to me. Everyone liked and loved the movie.” She also praised cinematographer Jagadish Sundaramurthy for his work, saying, “It would be great if I get a cameraman like Jagadish in every film. He made me look so beautiful.”

Director Anand Ravichandran emphasized the film’s use of live sound recording, a technique he personally favors. “Live sound will be spoken even if repeated takes are required. Only an artiste who performs well can do it, so I searched and selected the actors,” he said, highlighting the challenges and benefits of this approach.

The film also features a talented supporting cast, including Kali Venkat, Illasasu, Rohini, Thalivasal Vijay, Geetha Kailasam, Abdul Lee, and ‘Black Sheep’ Nandini. The technical crew includes cinematographer Jagathees Sundaramurthy, editor Rukesh, art director Pragatheeswaran, and costume designer Anusha Meenakshi. The songs are penned by ‘rap’ icon Vidhu, Ekadasi, GKP, and Vinnulaka Kavi, with music composed by GV Prakash himself.

DeAr is produced by Varun Tripuraneni, Abhishek Ramishetti, and G. Prithiviraj under the banner of Nutmeg Productions. The film is set to release on Apr 11 in theaters across Tamil Nadu, distributed by Romeo Pictures.
