Acclaimed television director Param transitions to the big screen with his debut feature film, Kotee, starring popular Kannada actor Daali Dhananjay. Unveiled on the auspicious occasion of the Ugadi festival, the striking poster hints at a narrative focused on the aspirations of an ordinary individual. The title, creatively composed of folded ₹500 notes, visually complements Dhananjay’s intense gaze, suggesting thematic depth.

Dhananjay, who returns to Kannada cinema after a one-year hiatus, has alluded to the film exploring the emotions of a common person pursuing their dreams. This project marks a significant career milestone for the actor, known for his dynamic performances. Param, celebrated for his work on the Colors Kannada channel, takes on the roles of writer, screenwriter, and director for Kotee, realizing his long-held ambition to create cinematic narratives.

The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios, who has established success in Hindi cinema and now expands into Kannada film ventures. The project boasts a strong technical team, with Vasuki Vaibhav composing the music, Nobin Paul creating the background score, and Arun Brahma handling the cinematography. Following the title and poster reveal, the film’s teaser is scheduled for release on April 13th.
