Oru Nodi, a new independent film directed by P. Manivarma, has positioned itself nicely thanks to its unique story and a “short film experience” to the media rather than a teaser. The movie, featuring Thaman Kumar in the lead role alongside veteran actors M.S. Bhaskar and Vela Ramamurthy, explores themes of human connection and the complexities of life.

At the film‘s recent audio launch, renowned distributor G. Dhananjayan of Creative Entertainers and Distributors expressed his appreciation for the project and his commitment to its success. Dhananjayan, known for his discerning eye and ability to identify promising films, praised the director‘s willingness to refine the film based on feedback. “I’m usually not that easily satisfied and would keep suggesting changes one after the other,“ Dhananjayan admitted. “However, when I suggested a particular change, director Manivarman refused, stating that it would completely alter the course of the movie. I realized his point was precise and meaningful, and it was a valuable lesson for me.“

Producer C.V. Kumar, known for promoting independent cinema and nurturing new talent, commended Dhananjayan‘s involvement in the project. “G. Dhananjayan, known for his exceptional ability to generate interest, is now overseeing this film,“ Kumar stated. “With his Midas touch, I am confident that he will ensure the success of this movie in a unique manner.“

Actor Aari Arjunan, who attended the audio launch as a special guest, echoed Kumar‘s sentiments and expressed his support for the film. “Both Dhananjayan and C.V. Kumar have been pillars of Tamil cinema in encouraging young and new talents,“ Arjunan remarked. He also used the platform to urge the public to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections.

The film‘s lead actor, Thaman Kumar, thanked the producer and director for their support. He acknowledged the challenges faced by aspiring actors and emphasized the importance of producers who invest in talent. “Skilled actors are always seeking opportunities to display their abilities, and it is the producer who can provide the necessary investment and support to nurture talented artists and actors,“ Kumar stated.

Oru Nodi is scheduled for theatrical release at the end of April. Madurai Azhagar Movies and White Lamp Pictures produced the film, with music composed by Sanjay Manickam and cinematography by G.K. Satheesh.
