Filming has begun on U R Next, a horror film that delves into the lives of young people working in the IT industry. The film, directed by newcomer MD Sharif, features a cast led by KS Ravikumar, Rachita Mahalakshmi, and Udaya.
“We are confident in the script and believe it will offer a fresh perspective to Indian cinema audiences,” said a spokesperson for the production team.
The film, produced by Mohideen Abdul Qadar and Mani under the banners of Imak Films Pvt Ltd and Sky Frame Entertainment, is being made as a pan-Indian release, with versions in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.
The technical crew includes cinematographer KG Ratheesh, editor Ajith, and music director Vasanth, known for his work on Isai Pettai.
U R Next commenced filming with a traditional pooja ceremony held in Chennai.
