Director Seenu Ramasamy’s latest film, Kozhipannai Chelladurai, is set to release on September 20, marking the debut of actor Egan in a lead role. The film, produced by Dr. P Arulanandu and Mathew Arulanandu under Vision Cinema House, held its music launch event in Chennai recently.
Egan, expressing his gratitude at the event, said, “Vijay Sethupathi’s visit and words have increased my responsibility. I promise to carry out this responsibility and uphold his name.” The newcomer acknowledged the support he received from the cast and crew, particularly mentioning the comfort provided by Vijay Sethupathi’s presence.
Vijay Sethupathi, who attended as a special guest, offered words of encouragement to Egan. “There’s good hope in your face. Your performance in songs and scenes is promising,” he remarked. Sethupathi also praised director Seenu Ramasamy’s ability to portray Theni district in unique ways across his films.
The film features an ensemble cast including Yogi Babu, Brigida, Satya Devi, and others. Yogi Babu, known for his comedic roles, mentioned that director Ramasamy restrained him from his usual style. “The director completely controlled me not to let me hit ‘counter’ even at one place in this film,” he said.
Music composer N.R. Raghunandan, working with Ramasamy for the fourth time, spoke about the film’s soundtrack. “Each of the five songs featured in the film is from a different genre. Vairamuthu wrote excellent lyrics,” he stated.
Producer Arulanandu revealed that the film has been screened to nearly a thousand people for feedback. “The final forty minutes of the film are like the flourishing rays before the harvest,” he commented, emphasizing the family-oriented nature of the story.
Kozhipannai Chelladurai is being distributed by Shakti Film Factory, with producer Suresh Kamatchi praising the film’s emotional content and the director’s sensitivity in handling relationships on screen.
