Petta Rap: Prabhu Deva’s New Film Blends Dance and Family Entertainment

The upcoming film Petta Rap, starring Prabhu Deva and directed by S.J. Sinu, held its music launch event in Chennai. The film, produced by Blue Hill Films’ Jobi P. Sam, is set for a worldwide theatrical release on September 27.

Director S.J. Sinu described the project as a dream come true, saying, “From the moment I met Prabhu Deva Master and told him the story, his collaboration has been amazing.” He emphasized the film’s focus on family entertainment, stating, “This movie is made to be enjoyed by everyone from ten to sixty years old.”

Prabhu Deva, known for his dancing skills, shared insights about the production process. “While working on this film, everything from the pre-production work to the shooting location gave me a happy experience,” he said. He also acknowledged the contributions of his co-stars and the music team.

Music composer D. Iman spoke about the film’s musical approach: “The director referred to it as a musical entertainer. We have been working tirelessly for it. Many movie songs have been included, making it a light-hearted film.”

Actress Vedhika, who plays the female lead, expressed her excitement about dancing with Prabhu Deva. “So far I have acted in roles that showcase my acting skills. It was in this movie that I got the chance to dance,” she said.

The film also features Sunny Leone in a special appearance. Leone commented on her experience, saying, “Dancing with Prabhu Deva was an unforgettable experience.”

Producer Jobi P. Sam, making his debut in Tamil cinema, connected the film’s release to his professional history in Tamil Nadu. “September was the month when I first started working in Tamil Nadu and got friends. In the same month of September, the first film produced in Tamil is released,” he noted.
