A new film Tourist Family, featuring actors Sasikumar and Simran in lead roles, has commenced production under the direction of newcomer Abhishan Jeevinth. The film’s first look and title teaser were unveiled by director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
“This project struck me as something distinct from the conventional narratives we see in Tamil cinema,” says Sasikumar. “The script presents a fresh perspective on family dynamics.”
The film brings together an ensemble cast including Yogi Babu, Mithun Jay Shankar, Kamalesh, M.S. Bhaskar, and Ramesh Thilak. Sean Roldan heads the musical composition, while Aravind Viswanathan serves as cinematographer.
“The story resonated with me immediately,” shares Simran, who plays a pivotal role in the film. “It’s the kind of narrative that speaks to audiences across generations.”
The project marks the directorial debut of Abhishan Jeevinth. “Our focus was on crafting an authentic family narrative,” notes Jeevinth. “We wanted to explore the nuances of relationships while maintaining a light-hearted tone.”
Produced by Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment, with Nazareth Basilian, Mahesh Raj Basilian, and Yuvaraj Ganeshan at the helm, the film is in its final stages of production. The technical crew includes editor Bharat Vikraman and art director Raj Kamal.
