A seemingly innocent party game becomes a catalyst for chaos in Ring Ring, a relationship drama that examines the complexities of trust and privacy in the digital age. Director Sakthivel’s film centers on four couples whose lives unravel when they agree to put their incoming phone calls on speaker during a birthday celebration.

The narrative follows the relationships between pairs played by Vivek Prasanna and Swayam Siddha, Daniel Annie Pope and Jamuna, Praveen Raja and Sakshi Agarwal, and Arjunan and Sahana. As their private conversations become public, the film explores how secrets and miscommunication can fracture both romantic relationships and friendships.

“The film examines how people maintain different versions of themselves,” says director Sakthivel. “We wanted to explore how modern technology, particularly phones, impacts our relationships and cultural dynamics.” The film suggests that some secrets may serve to protect relationships rather than damage them.

The ensemble cast portrays the complexities of their characters’ relationships through a series of revelations. Vivek Prasanna plays Thyagu opposite Swayam Siddha’s Suyam, while Daniel Annie Pope and Jamuna’s storyline addresses infidelity. Arjunan and Sahana’s arc focuses on miscommunication between partners.

The film, shot primarily in indoor locations by cinematographer Prashanth D F Tech, features music by Vasanth Isaipettai. The project was produced by Jagan Narayanan.
