Actor Soundararaja called on Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) members to advocate for Tamil issues during an Iftar dinner organized by the United Arab Emirates Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam in Dubai.
“TVK is a political organization that came to serve the people and the land. Many will criticize us out of jealousy. We should not take such criticism seriously and must work together with unity,” Soundararaja said at the event held on March 16, 2025.

The actor, who is also a producer and founder of the “Mannukum Makkalukkum” foundation, added that TVK has received widespread acceptance not only in Tamil Nadu and India but throughout the world. “Whenever Tamils face any problems, TVK members should stand in front for them and help,” he emphasized.
The Iftar event, marking the holy month of Ramadan, was attended by over 200 participants from across the UAE. It was organized by TVK UAE officials including Chief Coordinator Raguvaran, Joint Coordinator Ismail, Treasurer Sathish, and Women’s Wing Secretary RJ Maya, along with other administrators.

Notable guests included Pallavi Vinothkumar and Vinothkumar, who are maternal relatives of the party leader – actor turned politician Vijay, as well as representatives from public organizations and other political parties.
Soundararaja participated in the prayers after breaking the fast at the gathering.
