Actress Aishwarya Rajesh has revealed that her upcoming film, Theeyavar Kulai Nadunga, is based on a true story, a detail that she said caused her to tremble when she first heard the narration from director Dinesh Lakshmanan. The action-thriller, which also stars Arjun, is scheduled for a multi-language release on November 21.
“This film is a true incident. When the director told me, my body was trembling,” Aishwarya stated at a gathering for the film. “When you tell a true story, people will feel close to it. It will create a great awareness for them.”

The film positions both Arjun and Aishwarya in its central roles. Arjun, known for his action roles, noted that the film has “three heroes,” also crediting actor Praveen Raja for his significant part. He also revealed a personal connection to his co-star, stating, “Aishwarya Rajesh is another hero. Rajesh is her father’s name; he passed away at a young age. He was also an actor. I acted with him in some films; he was a good friend of mine.”
Aishwarya, in turn, acknowledged Arjun’s guidance, particularly in the action sequences. “He is the reason I fought well,” she said.
The film is the directorial debut of Dinesh Lakshmanan, who has a 15-year history in the industry. He noted that while he and Arjun had many discussions and debates on set, he came to understand the value of the veteran actor’s experience. “When I saw the finished film, I understood his experience,” Dinesh said.
Theeyavar Kulai Nadunga is produced by G. Arul Kumar of GS Arts, a former flower vendor who has entered filmmaking. Arjun praised the producer’s character, stating, “The love he has for cinema is what has made him a producer. His character of respecting everyone is something I really like. For his heart alone, this film should be a big success.”
The film’s cast also includes Abhirami Venkatachalam, who noted that the story carries a message of awareness about parenting.
