Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar attended the event as the chief guest to launch the promotional asset for the film, which reunites actor Nandamuri Balakrishna with director Boyapati Sreenu.
Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, the sequel appears to expand the scope of the franchise significantly. While the first film focused on local corruption and divine intervention, the trailer for Akhanda 2 suggests a broader conflict merging national security with spiritual preservation. The narrative posits a threat from forces, both domestic and foreign, aiming to destabilize the country’s spiritual foundation and Sanatana Dharma.
Balakrishna returns in his dual avatar, with the trailer heavily emphasizing the fierce Aghora character, Akhanda.
