Inika Productions has unveiled the teaser for Kiki & Koko, an upcoming animated feature touted as a grounded departure from the superhero-heavy landscape of the genre. Directed by P. Narayanan, the film focuses on the emotional bond between a young girl and her pet dog, prioritizing real-world values over fantasy elements. The teaser launch, held on December 26, offered a first look at the film’s visual style, which involves collaboration between animation teams from Pune and Bengaluru.
At the event, Narayanan emphasized the project’s commitment to realism in storytelling for children. “In films, we often introduce kids to fantasy elements that don’t happen in real life like Spider-Man flying or He-Man fighting,” Narayanan stated. “In this film, no one will be hitting anyone and no one will be flying. As ordinary human beings, we help others, smile, remember gratitude, and show love.” He noted that the film targets children between the ages of two and 14, aiming to impart practical life lessons through an 80-minute narrative.

Meena, CEO of Inika Productions, highlighted the educational undertones of the script, which features 20 distinct characters. Child artist Shrinika voices the titular role of Koko. “Koko loves pets very much. After acting in this movie, I have developed a desire to have a dog myself,” the young actor shared.
On the technical front, Creative Producer G.M. Karthikeyan and VFX Director Gokulraj Bhaskar oversaw the visual development. Bhaskar noted that the character design for Kiki was inspired by a cotton flower and stressed that the content was curated to ensure it causes no harm to young viewers. Composer C. Sathya provides the score and soundtrack, describing the project as a refreshing experience that allowed him to explore English composition for a younger demographic.
