The makers of Pallichattambi have released a character poster featuring Kayadu Lohar in a vintage look, offering the first glimpse of her role in the upcoming period action film set in 1950s Kerala.
The poster, shared on social media, shows the actress in retro styling that aligns with the film’s mid-century setting. The makers have not yet revealed the name of her character. Pallichattambi marks Kayadu’s third Malayalam film, following her debut in Pathonpatham Noottandu, where her performance drew considerable attention.
Kayadu entered the film industry through the Kannada film Mugilpete and has since built a multi-industry career. Her breakthrough came with the Tamil film Dragon last year, which significantly raised her profile. She is currently filming I Am Game opposite Dulquer Salmaan, while also working on several Tamil and Telugu projects.
Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, Pallichattambi stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role. The film is positioned as a mass action entertainer, with the actor’s martial arts training videos released as part of the promotional campaign reinforcing that direction. Vijayaraghavan is among the prominent supporting cast members.
The period drama is produced by Noufal and Brijeesh under Worldwide Films, alongside Chanukya, Chaitanya, and Charan under C Qube Bros Entertainments. Megha Shyam and Thanseer serve as co-producers. S. Suresh Babu has written the screenplay.
Pallichattambi is scheduled for theatrical release on April 9.
