Anirudh Ravichander has lent his name to launch Ambu Vitta Kirukki, an independent Tamil music video that released on February 13. The song, built around love, nostalgia, and the complicated emotions that surface when ex-lovers cross paths, is the work of a young team led by director and cinematographer Vijay Kiran.
The music is composed by Varun Chandrasekar, with lyrics by Priyesh and choreography by Manoj. Lead actor Suraj Kumar, who also produced the project, stars alongside Dharshna Sripal. Vijay Kiran, who has a background working on feature film sets, handles both direction and cinematography, giving the video a visual polish that lifts it above the typical indie release.
Anirudh’s role here is as a presenter rather than composer, but for an independent Tamil music video trying to find an audience in a space dominated by film soundtracks, that kind of backing can make the difference between being heard and disappearing into the noise.
