Yogi Babu, a name audiences know best for quick comedic beats, leads a devotional drama this May. Sannidhanam (P.O) has put out its first single, Yeri Vanthom Ayyappa, and it sets a notably different register for the actor, more meditative than manic.

The track is sung by Abhishek Raju and Vishnu Ram, scored by AGR, with lyrics by Mohan Rajan. It leans on the chants and tempo of a Sabarimala pilgrimage rather than playing to a hook, which fits a film whose drama is built around what happens to Ayyappa devotees on that very route.

Directed by Amutha Sarathi, who also writes the dialogues, Sannidhanam (P.O) works from a story and screenplay by Ajinu Ayyappan. The first look, unveiled earlier by Cheran and Manju Warrier, hinted at the spiritual-emotional terrain the song now confirms. The film revolves around an unexpected incident that upends a group of devotees mid-pilgrimage, and the journey that follows.

Alongside Yogi Babu, the film casts Roopesh Shetty, the Kannada-Tulu actor who became a household name in Karnataka after winning Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 and the OTT edition back-to-back in 2022, and Varsha Viswanath. The supporting ensemble includes Sithara, Pramod Shetty, Munnar Ramesh, and Gajaraj, a mix that mirrors the film’s pan-Indian intent. Sannidhanam (P.O) is releasing in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

The shoot spanned Sabarimala, Pamba, Erumeli, Chennai and Pollachi, which explains the lived-in feel of the song’s visual backdrop. Vinoth Bharathi is the cinematographer. PK handles editing. The film is produced by Sarvata Cine Garage and Shimoga Creations, jointly bankrolled by Madhusudhan Rao, V Vivekanandan and Ramasamy Velu, with Shabeer Pathan as co-producer.

Sannidhanam (P.O) is slated for a May release, with the official date to follow.
