Sivakarthikeyan will grace the big screen as Major Mukund Varadarajan in the highly anticipated film “Amaran”. Unveiled by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films ahead of his 39th birthday, the second look poster and teaser offer a glimpse into the intense, action-packed narrative that awaits audiences. The film aims to portray the Indian Army’s fight against terrorism and their acts of heroism.

Rajkumar Periasamy, who made the 2017 Gautham Karthik film Rangoon directs Amaran. It’s produced by Raaj Kamal Films, Sony Pictures, and R. Mahendran. The teaser shows Sivakarthikeyan playing Major Mukund in a fierce, patriotic role. The theme is on counter-terrorism operations, and the movie has a remarkably warlike ambience.

Sai Pallavi plays the female lead, with a supporting cast, including Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu and Ajaey Naga. GV Prakash composes the music, CH Sai helms the cinematography, and Kalaivanan does the editing.

The actress tweeted on the occasion:

Major Mukund was an Indian Army officer and a recipient of the Ashoka Chakra. He died in 2014 during a counterterrorism operation while on deputation to the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion in Jammu and Kashmir.

Amaran will release in the summer of 2024 and vows to provide a fierce patriotic experience.
