The upcoming pan-India film Devara, starring Jr. NTR and directed by Koratala Siva, is scheduled for release on September 27 in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. At a recent press meet in Chennai, the film’s cast and crew shared insights into the production.

Jr. NTR, the lead actor, emphasized the film’s significance, stating, “Words cannot describe how special Devara is to me. This movie will be special not only for me but for all of you.” He also expressed interest in future collaborations with Tamil directors, mentioning Vetrimaaran specifically.

Director Koratala Siva kept his comments brief, thanking the crew for their contributions to the film. Music director Anirudh provided more context about the film’s content, saying, “Shiva sir has brought the subject of fear from a different angle in this film. It will be a new world for the audience.”

Janhvi Kapoor, making her debut in South Indian cinema with Devara, connected her presence in Chennai to personal history. “Chennai has many memories with my mother. I hope you will give me the love you gave to her,” she said, appealing to the audience.

Cinematographer Ratnavelu highlighted the film’s technical challenges, noting, “It is doubtful that there would have been such a long film up and down the water.” He also praised Jr. NTR’s performance and Anirudh’s music.

Production Designer Sabu Cyril assured that the film’s visual scale would meet expectations, while actor Kalaiyarasan expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work in a major production.
