A new film, Kaadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai, featuring Vineeth, Rohini, and Lijomol Jose, held its audio launch in Chennai. The film, directed by Jayaprakash, aims to bridge the gap between festival and commercial cinema. The film is set to release on Valentine’s Day, Feb 14th.

“This Lakshmi character is one of my most satisfying roles,” said veteran actress Rohini. “Despite the politics it discusses, the film will engage you. The work of art is to speak the unspoken, and that’s what we’ve achieved here.”

Lijomol Jose, known for Jai Bhim, expressed her hopes for the film: “We don’t expect this film to bring massive change overnight, but we believe it will create better understanding. That’s what we see as success.”

Director Jayaprakash revealed the challenges in bringing the film to screens. “When some suggested making it in Malayalam or Hindi, I chose Tamil deliberately,” he said. The film was completed in 28 days with support from experienced actors.

Producer Dhananjayan, who is distributing the film, addressed the crowded release schedule this week. “Seven to eight films release weekly. This should be avoided as it makes it difficult for audiences to watch everything,” he said.

Actor Vineeth expressed confidence in the project’s impact: “This film creates an open debate. Many important ideas can be seen here.”
