Actor Krishna’s 23rd film, a yet-untitled village drama, commenced production with a traditional ceremony at Chennai’s Prasad Lab Theater, marking the directorial debut of Appadurai Bharathiraja.
“This will be a commercial film driven by suspense and action elements that will resonate with audiences across demographics,” says Appadurai, who’s helming the project backed by Dawn Creations.

The film, which pairs Krishna with actress Varsha Vishwanath, will primarily shoot in locations around Trichy and Madurai. Producer L. Ganesh of Dawn Creations is backing the venture, which was launched with a customary puja ceremony.

Director Satyasiva, known for the film Eagle, presided over the launch event and gave the ceremonial first clap. The technical crew includes cinematographer Nagarjuna, composer Sam CS, art director C. Udayakumar, and editor Vethikrishnan.
