Legend Saravanan’s latest film Leader has been officially unveiled, with director R.S. Durai Senthilkumar at the helm of what producers describe as a thriller about an ordinary man caught in an extraordinary conflict.
“An ordinary man gets caught in a war between the underworld and the police force,” the production team said in a statement. “Leader is about how he survives this intense conflict by protecting himself and those close to him.”
Durai Senthilkumar, whose previous credits include Ethir Neechal, Kaaki Sattai, Kodi, Pattas and Garudan, has written and directed the film. Legend Saravana Stores Productions is backing the project.
Production spanned multiple locations across India and abroad. Principal photography commenced in Thoothukudi before moving to Jaipur, Ooty and the US state of Georgia, with final sequences filmed in Chennai.
Bollywood actress Payal Rajput has been cast opposite Saravanan in the female lead. The supporting cast includes Sham, Andrea, Santhosh Prathap, Lal, Baahubali Prabhakar, Amirtha Aiyer and VTV Ganesh.
Composer Ghibran Vaibhoda handles the musical score, with S. Venkatesh as cinematographer and Pradeep E. Ragav on editing. Phantom FX provides visual effects.
The production team has indicated that further announcements, including an audio launch, will follow in the coming weeks. No release date has been confirmed.
