Jungle action-thriller Mahasenha has locked a worldwide theatrical release for December 12, 2025. Marudham Productions confirmed the date following an elaborate audio launch event held on November 30, attended by the cast and media representatives.

Written and directed by Dhinesh Kalaiselvan, the film serves as the production house’s follow-up to their 2023 crime thriller Raakadhaan. The narrative is described as an ecological conflict drama that weaves together forest lore, spirituality, and human morality. The production is notable for being shot 90% in real forest locations across Gudalur, Wayanad, Kollimalai, and Ooty, eschewing studio sets for natural terrain to capture an authentic atmospheric experience.

The ensemble cast is headlined by Vemal and Srushti Dange, supported by Yogi Babu, Mahima Gupta, John Vijay, and Kabir Duhan Singh. A significant element of the storytelling involves a live elephant named Sena, who plays a symbolic role in the plot’s central conflict between divine natural forces and human greed.

The director emphasized the environmental focus of the narrative. Dhinesh Kalaiselvan stated that the forest in the film is not just a backdrop but a living, breathing character. He added that the story aims to show how greed disrupts divine harmony and how spirituality heals it.

The film features a soundtrack by A. Praveen Kumar and Udhay Prakash (UPR), combining tribal rhythms with spiritual melodies, and includes vocals from Vaikom Vijayalakshmi and V.M. Mahalingam. PVR INOX Pictures has acquired the distribution rights for Tamil Nadu.
