Telugu actor Manchu Manoj has officially expanded his creative portfolio with the launch of a new music label, Mohana Raga Music. The announcement marks a significant pivot for the actor, known for his roles in films such as Bindaas and Current Theega, as he aims to build a platform dedicated to supporting emerging talent and producing original content.

The label’s name, Mohana Raga Music, holds personal significance for the actor, serving as a tribute to a raga favored by both him and his father, veteran thespian Dr. Manchu Mohan Babu. According to the announcement, the company will focus on independent singles, experimental sounds, and cross-cultural collaborations. Manoj also teased an upcoming project involving a major international collaboration, positioning the label as a bridge between Telugu music and the global stage.

While primarily recognized for his on-screen work and high-octane stunts, Manoj has a long-standing history with music production and performance. He previously recorded playback vocals for the song Pyar Mein Padipoya in the film Potugadu and released the independent single Antha Baguntamra during the COVID-19 pandemic. His technical contributions extend to lyric writing for films like Mr. Nookayya and Nenu Meeku Thelusa. Notably, Manoj collaborated with composer Achu Rajamani to score the Hollywood musical romance Basmati Blues, which starred Academy Award winner Brie Larson.

The launch of Mohana Raga Music represents a formalization of his musical interests. Beyond his acting career, Manoj has frequently contributed to the creative direction of action sequences and musical numbers in productions featuring his siblings, Vishnu Manchu and Lakshmi Manchu. The label is expected to roll out its first slate of releases shortly.
