Actor Siddharth returns to romantic cinema with Miss You, a feel-good film directed by N. Rajasekhar and produced by Samuel Mathew under 7 Miles Per Second banner. The film, set for theatrical release on November 29 through Red Giant Movies, pairs Siddharth with Kannada actress Ashika Ranganath.

“This is a positive film without cuts, punches, blood, or violence,” Siddharth explained at the trailer launch in Chennai’s Sathyam Cinema. “I haven’t done a romantic film in ten years. When director Rajasekhar approached me, I insisted we create something fresh rather than follow familiar formulas.”

Ashika Ranganath, who delivers her dialogues in Tamil, portrays the character Subbulakshmi. “This isn’t a typical love story,” she noted. “Siddharth sir acted as a second director, guiding me through expressions and dialogue delivery while Rajasekhar sir focused on technical perfection.”

Music composer Ghibran has created eight songs for the film, departing from his recent work on more serious projects. “When Rajasekhar approached me, I specifically asked for love songs, as I’d been missing composing them,” he said.

The film features an ensemble cast including Karunakaran, Bala Saravanan, and Shashtika. Director Rajasekhar described Bala Saravanan’s performance as “a combination of Vadivelu and Vivek, suitable for both urban and rural characters.”

Actor Karthi, who attended the launch as chief guest, reflected on the current state of Tamil cinema: “While there’s still an appetite for genuine romance films, we’re mostly making action movies. The social media generation talks about love, but our films focus elsewhere.”
