Filmmaker Mysskin has stepped in front of the camera for a pivotal role in “Subrammani,” a new crime thriller directed by his former mentor R.K. Selva, previously credited as Vincent Selva. The project marks a significant reunion for the duo, as Mysskin began his career assisting Selva on early 2000s hits such as the Vijay starrer “Youth” and the horror-comedy “Jithan.”
Bankrolled by S Productions, the film features Richard Rishi and Natty (Natarajan Subramaniam) in the lead roles. The narrative follows a high-stakes investigation into five gruesome murders, viewed through the perspective of three police officers racing to apprehend a killer described as a “dark devil” before the body count rises. The cast also includes Telugu Bigg Boss fame Divya as the female lead, alongside supporting actors Jasper and Lollu Sabha Swaminathan.

Speaking about the collaboration, director R.K. Selva noted that Mysskin’s involvement went beyond acting. “It was an unforgettable experience to see him working on the set not only as an actor but also as my assistant director again. He even directed a few scenes too,” R.K. Selva stated. He added that Mysskin portrays a character unlike any he has played before.
The technical crew includes music composer Sanuka, known for the track Ayyo Saami, and lyrics by Asmin. Cinematography is handled by Akhilesh and Sunder Ram Krishnan, with editing by Sujir Babu and stunts choreographed by Rambo Vimal. Pranov and Balaji serve as project heads and co-producers for the film, which is currently in the final stages of post-production.
