A new Tamil comedy Otha Votu Muthaiya, directed by Sai Rajagopal and featuring veteran comedian Goundamani, has unveiled its trailer at a launch event in Chennai. The film, produced by Cine Craft Productions and Kutty Story Pictures, brings together an ensemble cast of veteran and contemporary Tamil cinema actors.
“This film is a testament to our commitment to comedy,” said director Sai Rajagopal. The project brings together established performers like Yogi Babu, Mottai Rajendran, and Singamuthu alongside Goundamani.
The launch event was attended by industry veterans including K. Bhagyaraj, P. Vasu, K.S. Ravikumar, K. Rajan, and R. Pandiarajan. Producer Ravi Raja M.E. has backed the project under the dual banner production.
For veteran actor P. Vasu, who has collaborated with Goundamani on numerous projects, this film represents a significant addition to the comedy genre. “Goundamani’s versatility as a performer, regardless of language barriers, has been crucial to his enduring success,” he said.
The film, which promises to blend family dynamics with comedy, will see a theatrical release across Tamil Nadu. The project marks a notable return for Goundamani, who has maintained his position as one of Tamil cinema’s most recognized comedy actors.
