The launch of a new OTT platform, OTT Plus, seeks to address the challenges faced by small-budget and independent films in gaining visibility and reaching audiences. With established OTT platforms increasingly focusing on big-budget productions, OTT Plus aims to create a space for diverse and meaningful content that may not find a place on mainstream platforms.

National Award-winning director Seenu Ramasamy, who attended the launch event, expressed his support for the initiative, stating, “This OTT Plus platform will be a boon for budding creators.“ He recognized the difficulties faced by independent filmmakers in securing theatrical releases and distribution, emphasizing the importance of alternative platforms like OTT Plus in providing opportunities for their work to be seen and appreciated.
