Actor-director Bose Venkat’s second directorial venture, Sir, starring Vemal in the lead role, has drawn attention for its socially relevant content at its recent audio and trailer launch event. The film, which follows Venkat’s debut Kanni Maadam, is being presented by director Vetrimaaran’s Grass Root Film company.

Vetrimaaran, speaking at the event, emphasized the film’s timeliness: “This film is very necessary in today’s era. It deals with three eras of teachers and should start a discussion.” He also noted his involvement in the film’s development, stating, “I am proud to have my name in a film that convinces me. We made changes based on my suggestions, but everything is Bose Venkat’s decision.”

Actor Vijay Sethupathi, a long-time friend of Vemal, shared his thoughts on the film: “I have watched the entire movie. The last 40 minutes of the film will shake you.” Sethupathi also commended Bose Venkat’s progression from television to cinema and now to direction, noting his political acumen.

Vemal, the lead actor, expressed gratitude for the opportunity: “Bose uncle came to tell the story, and I liked it very much. He has given me a good film after Vaagai Chudava.” He also thanked Vetrimaaran and Vijay Sethupathi for their support, describing Sethupathi as “a friend who always encourages me and lifts me up.”

Director Bose Venkat reflected on the journey of making Sir, acknowledging the support he received from various industry professionals. He particularly thanked Vetrimaaran and Vijay Sethupathi, stating, “These are two people I should never forget in my lifetime.”

The film, produced by SSS Pictures, features a cast including Vemal, Saravanan, and Natraj. Other notable attendees at the event included composer Siddhu Kumar, Siddharth Vipin, lyricist Viveka, Dhananjayan, and T. Siva.
