Indian cricketer Suresh Raina is set to make his acting debut in an upcoming Tamil film, currently titled Production No. 1. The reveal was made during the launch event for Dream Knight Stories, a new production house entering the industry. The film will be the company’s debut venture and is helmed by director Logan, known for his work on films like Maan Karate and Remo.
The project is backed by a high-profile technical crew, including music composer Santhosh Narayanan, production designer Muthuraj, and Academy Award-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty. The film’s producer is D. Saravanakumar, who previously served as a production executive at AGS Entertainment.
The launch event was also attended by fellow Indian cricketer Shivam Dube, who was present to mark the occasion. When asked about the possibility of former teammate MS Dhoni also appearing in the film, Suresh offered a non-committal response, stating, “He should answer that one.”
Director Logan commented on the project, stating, “It’s a dream to begin my debut as a filmmaker with such a talented team and the backing of Dream Knight Stories. With names like Santhosh Narayanan and Resul Pookutty on board, we are setting out to create something truly special.”
Other industry figures, including director Mohan Raja and producer P. L. Thenappan, were also in attendance. Further details about Production No. 1 are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
