Sweety Naughty Crazy, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual comedy starring Thrigun and three heroines, will release in theatres worldwide on February 13. Directed by first-time filmmaker Rajasekar G and produced by Kovai Ramesh under the newly launched Arun Visualz banner, the film is built around three parallel love stories played entirely for laughs.

“Our aim is simple. Everyone who walks into the theatre should be laughing from the opening scene right through to the end credits,” director Rajasekar G said. “The screenplay is a non-stop comedy bombardment.”

Thrigun, the Telugu actor formerly known as Adith Arun who has appeared in more than ten Telugu productions, takes the lead. Tamil audiences may recognise him from Thangamagan, Devil and Cadaver. Opposite him, the three heroines each represent a facet of the title: Sreejitha Ghosh as Sweety, Iniya as Naughty and Radha completing the trio. The film weaves their contrasting love stories around Thrigun’s character from three different angles.

The supporting cast draws comedy talent from both industries. Telugu veterans Ali and Raghu Babu feature in key roles, alongside Tamil screen favourites Ravi Mariya, Thambi Ramaiah, Sathyan, Chaams, Madan Babu and Vijay TV fame Dhanasekar.

Filming took place simultaneously in both languages across Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore and the hill station town of Kotagiri. S.N. Arunagiri, whose credits include Kolisoda, Kadugu and Sandiveeran, has composed the music. C. Vijayasri, one of a handful of female cinematographers working across Indian cinema with credits spanning Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, is behind the camera. K. Kumar serves as editor, with art direction by Jayakumar, choreography by I. Radhika and lyrics by Snehan and Bhaskar Dev.

Rajasekar G, who previously served as associate director on multiple productions, steps into the director’s chair for the first time with this project. The film marks the debut production of the Arun Visualz banner, and an official trailer has already been released ahead of its theatrical run.

With its February 13 release date placing it squarely in Valentine’s week, Sweety Naughty Crazy is aimed at younger audiences, with the team billing it as a trendy entertainer centred on three distinctly different romantic tracks and wall-to-wall comedy.
