Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations has acquired the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana distribution rights for Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, the upcoming Yash starrer, for a reported ₹120 crore on an advance commission basis. The deal is being described as the largest distribution acquisition ever for a non-Telugu film in the AP-TG market.

“Yash stands as a formidable titan of Indian cinema, and post KGF 2, his market has only grown stronger across the world,” Dil Raju said. “The audience’s anticipation for his next after KGF 2 has been building for a while now. With a four-year wait, the buzz and expectations around this film are massive. We at SVC are proud to present this prestigious project and hope to continue collaborating with Yash on many more films.”

Three major distribution companies reportedly competed for the AP-TG rights before SVC secured the deal. The figure underlines the pre-release demand for Toxic in the Telugu-speaking states, where Yash has built a following that rivals established Telugu stars. His last release, KGF Chapter 2 in 2022, was one of the highest-grossing Indian films of that year and cemented his status as a pan-Indian draw. The four-year gap since has only amplified anticipation.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Mohandas, a National Award-winning filmmaker known for her work in Malayalam cinema including Liar’s Dice and Moothon, Toxic has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. Dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and other languages will accompany the release, reflecting the production’s multilingual ambitions.

The cast features a pan-Indian ensemble. Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth appear alongside Yash in significant roles. The technical team is equally heavyweight: National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi is behind the camera, Ravi Basrur, who scored the KGF franchise, has composed the music, Ujwal Kulkarni serves as editor and T.P. Abid handles production design.

The action sequences have been choreographed by Hollywood stunt coordinator J.J. Perry, whose credits include the John Wick franchise, alongside National Award-winning action directors Anbariv and Thai stunt coordinator Kecha Khamphakdee.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 19 March 2026. The date coincides with Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa, positioning it as a major festive release across multiple regions.

The SVC partnership adds significant distribution muscle in one of Indian cinema’s largest theatrical markets. For Yash, whose appeal in the Telugu states has grown steadily since the KGF films, the ₹120 crore AP-TG valuation signals that his commercial pull now operates firmly outside his home Kannada market.
