Director Nagaraj Karuppaih’s Veerayi Makkal, a film based on the lives of rural people, is set to release soon. The movie, produced by N. Suresh Nanda under A Wide Screen Films, recently held its music release ceremony in Chennai.

Karupiya, known for his years of struggle in the industry, has crafted a story deeply rooted in village life. Director Ram Sangaiah, speaking at the event, noted, “When I saw the name of this film, I got the feeling that this is the story of our people, the story of our land. It’s films like this that show the identity of Tamil cinema.”

Actress Deepa, who plays a significant role in the film, shared her experience: “You will not see me as Deepa but as a girl from your own house in this film. The director has realistically written the dialogues spoken in the village.”

Producer and lead actor Suresh Nanda, making his debut in both roles, expressed his nervousness and gratitude. “The producer and the protagonist is a big responsibility, and I think I have done it right,” he said.

Director Pramera emphasized the film’s importance in the current cinema landscape. “Most of the films coming now don’t give much importance to relationships. It’s all business, and I congratulate the director and producer for choosing such a film in this environment,” he stated.

Actor Vela Ramamurthy, who plays a son in the movie, praised the authenticity of the production. “Actually, I didn’t act, I just naturally fit the role. I felt like I was at home while acting in this film,” he said.

Cinematographer Srinivasan highlighted the collaborative effort behind the film, thanking the producer for being “a great driving force for us in all aspects of the shoot.”
