Vijay Sethupathi thanked director Arumuga Kumar for believing in him during his early career struggles, speaking at the press meet for their upcoming film ACE. “When I was searching for opportunities, Arumugam trusted me, believed in my talent, and recommended me for films,” Vijay Sethupathi recalled, emphasizing the significance of such support. The film, written, directed, and produced by Arumuga Kumar under the 7CS Entertainment banner, is described as a grand commercial entertainer set in Malaysia and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 23rd.

Director Arumuga Kumar, in turn, highlighted Vijay Sethupathi’s immense support for the project, stating, “I cannot express in words how much help Vijay Sethupathi has done for me and how much care he has taken.” He also praised lead actor Rukmini Vasanth, noting her dedication despite initial hesitation about her Tamil fluency. “She is not just beautiful but also a wonderful actress,” he added. The director confirmed that Yogi Babu plays a significant role in ACE and that his character will be well-received.

Vijay Sethupathi lauded several members of the ACE team, including editor Benny Oliver, whom he predicted would soon become a director, and composer Justin Prabhakaran, for whom he expressed deep affection. He also commended Rukmini Vasanth’s preparedness, sharing an anecdote about her researching the history of a shooting location in Malaysia. Regarding Yogi Babu, Vijay Sethupathi dismissed recent negative reports about him, affirming, “That is not true; he is a good person. I like him very much.”

The film features an ensemble cast including K.G.F. fame Avinash and Babloo Prithviraj. Avinash described Vijay Sethupathi as a “wonderful human being” with a “fantastic aura,” while Babloo Prithviraj credited Vijay Sethupathi for a positive turn in his career. Rukmini Vasanth, for whom ACE marks her Tamil debut, called it a “very special film” and described it as a “beautiful movie with a bit of comedy,” a departure from her more intense previous roles.

Composer Justin Prabhakaran, marking his fourth collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi, spoke of the actor’s positive energy. Editor Benny Oliver humorously remarked on the challenge of editing Vijay Sethupathi’s performances, as “he mesmerizes in every shot.” The press meet served to introduce the film and its key contributors ahead of its release. ACE also features background score by Sam C.S. and cinematography by Kiran Bahadur Rawat.
