Pan-Indian crime thriller Zebra, starring Satyadev and Kannada actor Dolly Dhananjaya, has marked significant success since its October 22 release. The film’s team gathered in Chennai to celebrate with media, highlighting its performance across multiple languages.

“The film has received an exceptional response in Hindi markets with houseful shows,” said veteran actor Sathyaraj at the success meet. “I welcome Satyadev to Tamil cinema. Despite my 15 years in Telugu cinema, I haven’t learned Telugu, but Satyadev encouraged me to dub in Telugu for this film.”

Director Easwar Karthik, who previously helmed Penguin, revealed his extensive preparation for the project. “I wrote an 800-page screenplay detailing everything from music cues to audience reactions,” he said. “After learning from my previous film’s shortcomings, we focused on getting every element right.”

Lead actor Satyadev expressed his connection with Tamil cinema: “I’ve always wanted to work in Tamil films, and I’m grateful it happened through Zebra. The audience response has been overwhelming, and I’m committed to learning Tamil soon.”

The film, produced by S.N. Reddy, Bala Sundaram, and Dinesh Sundaram under Padmaja Films and Old Town Pictures, features Priya Bhavani Shankar and Jennifer Piccinato in key roles. KGF-fame Ravi Basrur’s music and Anil Girish’s editing have received particular praise from critics and audiences.
