The music and preview release of Alan, a film directed by R. Siva, was held in Chennai, marking a significant step in the director’s cinematic journey. The event, attended by industry figures including K. Bhagyaraj and G. Dhananjeyan, shed light on the film’s themes of love, literature, and social responsibility.

R. Siva, who transitioned from a successful career in Singapore to filmmaking, emphasized the importance of reading in shaping one’s worldview. “Life is not just about reading textbooks. There are millions of books. Please ask your children at home to read books,” Siva urged, reflecting on his own experiences.

The film, starring Vetri in the lead role, explores the life of a writer and touches on themes of environmental consciousness. Siva explained, “This film will be almost the same as looking back at something mechanical. We have made quality without any compromise in the production without any violence.”

Actor Vetri, known for his selective approach to roles, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity. “When I was thinking of acting in a romantic film, Siva sir gave me the script. After reading it, I realized this film cannot be made on a small budget,” Vetri shared, highlighting the production’s ambitious scale.

G. Dhananjeyan, the film’s distributor, praised the director’s vision: “He has created cinema that he loves passionately without any compromise. He has given a work of love and affection.”

Music director Manoj Krishna, making his debut with “Alan,” spoke about the creative freedom he experienced. “Director Siva is passionate about cinema. He did not impose any restrictions while composing music for this film,” Krishna noted.

K. Bhagyaraj, a veteran in the industry, commended Siva’s approach: “Siva, who has entered the film industry with a spirit of service, should succeed. He wants people to understand the power of love through this film.”

The film, which features cinematography by Vindan Stalin, also stars Mathura, Anu Siddhara, Karunakaran, and Vivek Prasanna. It was shot across various locations including Germany, Kashi, Varanasi, Rishikesh, and Kodaikanal.
