Actor Harish Kalyan has stated that his upcoming film, Diesel, will explore the unseen world of the fuel industry, a subject he believes will offer a new experience for audiences. The film, which marks his entry into the action genre, is scheduled for a Diwali release on October 17.

“Petrol and diesel are connected to everyone, and more than gold, crude oil—the black gold—is the most used resource,” Harish said. “We often visit petrol bunks but rarely think about the world behind crude oil. This story reveals what goes on behind the scenes in the fuel industry.” He described the film as being “made with meaning and purpose and mounted on a grand scale.”

The role required significant physical and mental preparation, according to the actor. “From dialogue portions to songs and intense action sequences, everything required immense effort,” Harish stated. He expressed his interest in pursuing more action-oriented roles in the future, adding, “If audiences accept me in the action space, I’m also interested in exploring more action genres.”

The film is written and directed by Shanmugham Muthusamy. Harish praised the director’s extensive research, stating, “The research and information director Shanmugham Muthusamy had behind this story amazed me. Just as I was impressed by the depth of his screenplay, I believe the audience will also like it.”

Diesel is produced by Devarajulu Markandeyan of Third Eye Entertainment and will be presented by SP Cinemas. The ensemble cast includes Athulyaa Ravi, Vinay Rai, Sai Kumar, and Ananya.
