The highly anticipated fourth installment of the successful horror-comedy franchise, Aranmanai 4, saw its trailer released amidst much fanfare in Chennai. Produced by Khushboo Sundar and A.C.S Arun Kumar, the film boasts a star-studded cast including Sundar C, Tamannaah Bhatia, Raashii Khanna, Yogi Babu, and Kovai Sarala.
Director Sundar C, a veteran of the genre, emphasized the evolution the Aranmanai series has undergone. “I never thought it would turn into a series like this,” he stated, crediting the immense success of Aranmanai 3 as the impetus for the current film. He reveals a unique historical inspiration, highlighting the film’s focus on powerful spirits known as ‘Pak’ and their role in repelling invaders from India centuries ago.
Producer Khushboo Sundar praised her husband’s tireless dedication, stating “Sundar C is the main reason for the successful completion of four parts of the film…He always thinks of how he can entertain the audience differently in every film.” She also acknowledged the vital role of fans in the franchise’s success.
Cast members showered praise on Sundar C’s directing prowess. “When we work with a director who knows good work, we automatically get excited,” remarked actor Jayaprakash. VTV Ganesh shared an anecdote about Sundar C’s encouragement and belief in him: “I did this film when [I was filming] a Telugu film…Sundar C said ‘take the mustache’…he will live 120 years because of his wife.”
Tamannaah Bhatia described her bond with the director and producer: “Sundar C, Khushboo madam is like family to me…They took such good care of me. If Sundar C sir is with me, I can do any film, I trust him so much.”
The film also marks a reunion for co-stars Tamannaah and Raashii Khanna, with Khanna commenting, “I have worked with actress Tamannaah in a Telugu film. Now I am happy to act in Tamil…[she] is the best co-artist, so genuine.”
The celebratory trailer launch underscored the collaborative spirit of the production. Music composer Hiphop Adi expressed his gratitude to Sundar C, saying “Aranmanai 4 is the sixth film with Sundar C Anna. Thanks to Anna for introducing me as a musician and a hero and having a lot of love and faith in me.”
Aranmanai 4 maintains an impressive scale, with a grander feel than previous installments and a large ensemble cast. The film continues the franchise’s formula of blending scares with humor, a winning combination that Sundar C confidently promises will deliver a satisfying experience for audiences.
