Bigg Boss season 5 winner Raju Jeyamohan is set to make his debut as a lead actor in the upcoming film Bun Butter Jam, directed by Raghav Mirdath. The film, produced by Suresh Subramaniam for Rain of Arrows, features Aadhya Prasad and Bhavya Trikha as the female leads.
At a recent press conference in Chennai, the film’s first look poster was unveiled in an unconventional manner, with a 30-foot tall poster being lowered down a high wall at Prasad studio complex.
Jeyamohan expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “Every chance is an angel. This film will be a favorite for many. The story is always the hero, and I firmly believe that a good actor can only emerge if the story is right.”
Director Mirdath explained the film’s concept: “Many people in life carry the past and fail to live in the present. ‘Bun Butter Jam’ tells us that it’s better to live in the moment. We chose bun butter jam as a food item that evokes childhood memories, which is central to the story.”
The film boasts a talented crew, including cinematographer Babu, editor John Abraham, and music composer Nivas K. Prasanna. Prasanna revealed, “There are five songs in total. It’s a youthful film, and we’ve made the songs fun and playful without being too serious.”
Aadhya Prasad, making her debut as the lead actress, shared her experience: “When director Raghav narrated the story, many things resonated with my life. It was a pleasure to work with Raju, who always lived like his character in the film.”
Bun Butter Jam also features veteran actors Charlie, Saranya Ponvannan, Devadarshini, Michael Thangadurai, and VJ Pappu in significant roles. The film is currently in its final stages of production.
