Shooting is done for Dharani Rasendran's British-era drama; the heavy VFX stretch starts now.

Dharani Rasendran, who made the acclaimed Yaathisai, has finished shooting his next, an untitled period drama with Sasikumar playing an officer of the Indian National Army. Produced by J Kamalakannan’s J.K. Film International, the film is set in the British era and now moves into post-production.

Sasikumar, coming off the hit Tourist Family, leads, with Samuthirakani, Kishore, Seyon, Bhavani Sre and Sshivada in the cast, and Ashok Selvan turning up in a special cameo. Sethu Murugavel is the cinematographer, Sarthak Kalyani composes the music and Mahendran Ganesan is cutting the film.

The makers say the harder stretch is only starting. The film leans heavily on VFX to build out its wartime world, so post-production is set to run long and detailed. The shoot moved through trench sets and a map-lined war room before wrapping.

The title, first look and teaser are expected soon.
