Dhrogam Pazhagu first look puts betrayal in the frame

The Dhrogam Pazhagu first look places Dhakshan Vijay at the centre of a story about betrayal, trust and the damage people carry into their closest relationships. Written and directed by Zion Raja, the film follows ordinary lives pushed into emotional conflict, with action forming another part of the lead character’s journey.

The poster makes its promise in a single line: “Some wounds are never forgiven.” Its design brings Dhakshan Vijay together with two older figures, while a film reel, clapperboard and projector crowd the frame below them. S.V. Sekhar, R.K. Selvamani, Natty Natraj, Ramki, Poonam Bajwa, Iniya, Nandita Swetha and Ashmitha Singh released the first look through their social media pages.

Dhakshan Vijay leads an ensemble that includes Lollu Sabha Jeeva, Janaki Amma of Vaazhai, Vanitha Vijayakumar, G.M. Kumar, Ganja Karuppu, Divakar and Amudhavanan. The makers say the actor trained for both the dramatic and fight portions of the role, suggesting that the betrayal in the title will not remain an entirely internal battle.

C. Beaula Magizh produces the film under Magizh Productions. Newcomers Bala and Raja have composed the music, with Vairamuthu writing the lyrics. V.P. Vinu Perumal is the cinematographer, Ashish edits, Mujibur Rahman handles art direction and Ramesh stages the fights.

The technical crew also includes costume designer Beaulet Sajilin, makeup artist N.V. Suresh Kumar, re-recording mixer Suguvethan VP and sound-design team VB Factories. The first look does not reveal a release date, keeping its attention on the family at the centre and the grievance that threatens to split it.
