Dr. Nithin Vemupati’s path to filmmaking is one of passion. He made the extraordinary decision to leave behind a career in medicine in Ukraine to pursue his cinematic dreams. Now, after honing his skills through short films, Nithin debuts his first commercial feature––a touching film centered on a very special dog.

Tamil movies with animal protagonists have a proven track record of entertaining audiences, especially children. Nithin’s film, set in Kodaikanal, promises a unique twist. “We’re used to seeing humans stand up against injustice,” Nithin explains, “but this story is about a dog’s courageous fight against the wrongs done to her.” Jhansi, a talented trained police dog, plays the lead role.

The film features a strong supporting cast, including S.A. Chandrasekhar, Balaji Sakthivel, Y. Gee Mahendran, Saravana Subbiah, Sathyan, Ayali Madan, Indraja, Robo Shankar, George Marian, and Kavita Bharathi. With Martin Donraj as cinematographer and award-winning editor B. Lenin, audiences can expect a visual and emotional journey. Director Vicky produces the film under his home banner, Kana Productions.
