HITLER MOVIE REVIEW

Cast: Vijay Antony, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Riya Suman, Charanraj

Director: Dana SA

Dana’s Hitler treads familiar ground in the vigilante genre, offering a mix of political intrigue and personal vendetta. Vijay Antony plays Selva, an ordinary man who harbors a secret identity as a masked crusader targeting corrupt politicians. As he crosses paths with Deputy Commissioner Shakthi (Gautham Vasudev Menon) and the crooked Minister Rajavelu (Charanraj), the film unfolds its tale of justice and retribution.

The story, while not groundbreaking, manages to hold interest through its steady pacing and occasional bursts of action. Vijay Antony brings a subdued intensity to Selva, effectively portraying both the everyman facade and the determined vigilante beneath. Gautham Vasudev Menon shines as the honest cop, lending gravitas to his scenes and elevating the cat-and-mouse game between law enforcement and the masked hero.

Riya Suman as Sarah, Selva’s love interest, brings a refreshing energy to the romantic subplot. Their relationship, while somewhat predictable, offers lighter moments that balance the film’s darker themes.

Hitler stumbles in its attempt to build complex political commentary into its narrative. The film touches on issues of corruption and social injustice but doesn’t delve deep enough to make a lasting impact. Some plot developments strain credibility, particularly in the ease with which the protagonist carries out his vigilante activities.

Technically, the film is competent. The action sequences are well-choreographed, and the cinematography captures both the grit of Chennai’s streets and the tension of the chase scenes effectively. The musical score, while not particularly memorable, serves its purpose in heightening dramatic moments.

Hitler is still entertaining. It may not reinvent the vigilante thriller, but it offers enough twists and solid performances to keep viewers engaged. Fans of the genre and Vijay Antony’s work will likely find it a satisfying addition to their action-thriller catalog.
