Toxic Drops Tabaahi Video, First Real Look at Yash's World
Tabaahi's music video is the first real footage from Toxic, and it hands the reveal to Yash and Kiara Advani's on-screen pairing rather than the action.
Toxic has kept its world locked down for a long time, so the arrival of the Tabaahi music video matters as much for what it shows as for the song. This is the first proper footage anyone has seen from Geetu Mohandas’s film beyond a teaser, and the makers chose to open the door with a romance rather than the muscle everyone expects from a Yash vehicle.
The video pairs Yash with Kiara Advani on screen for the first time, and the whole piece rides on that chemistry. Set against a wide, painterly beach, it plays the song as pure surrender, love in its rawest form with the world around the two fading out. It is a deliberately soft entry point into a film whose full title, A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, has been promising something darker.
Tabaahi arrived as audio first and turned into an instant favourite, and the makers stretched the wait with a bit of social-media theatre. On 7 July the official Toxic handle asked what you call a forbidden love that lives only in stolen time, tagging Kiara. Her one-word reply, Tabaahi, became the title, and Zee Music Company followed it with a Stay Tuned that set the release up.
Vishal Mishra composes and sings the track, with Hindi lyrics by Raj Shekhar. It has gone out in five languages at once, Vignesh Shivan writing the Tamil, Yogaraj Bhat the Kannada, Ramajogayya Sastry the Telugu and Rafeeq Ahammed the Malayalam, the pan-Indian rollout the film has been built around from the start. “Tabaahi isn’t a love song in the conventional sense, it’s love as wreckage, as surrender,” Mishra said of the track.
Shot in Kannada and English and dubbed across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, Toxic carries an ensemble that reads like a headline in itself: Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi. Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Mohandas, and produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film opens worldwide on 26 August 2026, having already locked a ₹63 crore Tamil Nadu distribution deal.
