Ilaiyaraaja to score Iravanan Solaiyil Sivan Malai
Based on real incidents, the new production brings together actors from four southern states, with its first schedule set in Vellimalai.
Ilaiyaraaja will compose the music for Iravanan Solaiyil Sivan Malai, a new production from RS Global Movie Makers. The film was launched with a pooja on September 14, with the composer joining the team to mark the beginning of the project.

Gangai Amaran, filmmakers Gnana Rajasekar and Baanar, and producer SK Sridhar also took part in the lamp-lighting ceremony. The announcement adds another title to Ilaiyaraaja’s current slate alongside Lenin Pandiyan, which also features Gangai Amaran in its cast.
The ensemble brings together actors from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Aradhana Bhat and Sri Sathya are joined by Thalaivasal Vijay, Ganja Karuppu, Muthukalai, Aathangudi Ilaiyaraaja, Prabha, Sharmila and Janani Ammal, among others.

MV Panneerselvam will handle the cinematography, with Kasi Viswanathan on editing and Michael overseeing the stunts. The makers describe the story as being based on real incidents, with filming planned across several hill regions in southern India.

The first shooting schedule is set to begin in Vellimalai.
