Arugey Arugey arrives as I'm Game closes in on August 20

The first single from I’m Game is out. Arugey Arugey, composed by Jakes Bejoy, gives Dulquer Salmaan’s fantasy thriller a romantic opening note before its worldwide release on August 20, timed for Onam.

Armaan Malik sings the track in four of its five languages: Tamil with lyrics by Vignesh Ramakrishna, Malayalam by Sharfu, Telugu by Sanare and Hindi by Numan Khoker. The Kannada version goes to Aniruddh Suswaram, with lyrics by Hrudaya Shiva. The song picked up traction on social media almost immediately, following a trailer that had already travelled well across all five language markets.

I’m Game is Dulquer’s 40th film and, by his own production house’s billing, the biggest of his career, shot across more than a hundred locations in South India. Nahas Hidayath directs, his first film since RDX, and Wayfarer Films produces, its first release since Lokah, with Dulquer and Jom Varghese producing. The cast stacks Antony Varghese, Mysskin, Kayadu Lohar, Kathir, Parth Tiwari and Samyuktha Viswanathan around the lead.

Jimshi Khalid shoots the film, Chaman Chacko edits, and the action goes to the Anbariv duo, whose names in the credits are usually a promise of the trailer’s high-octane chase and fight material being the real thing. Zee Music holds the album.

August 20 is now a week away, and I’m Game arrives carrying two hot streaks at once: Wayfarer’s after Lokah, and Nahas Hidayath’s after RDX.
