Ranabaali glimpse out on Vijay Deverakonda's birthday
Mythri unveiled a Ranabaali glimpse video and Union Jack poster for Vijay Deverakonda's birthday. Rahul Sankrityan's late-1800s film opens September 11.
The Ranabaali team dropped a fresh glimpse video and a new look poster on Saturday to mark Vijay Deverakonda’s birthday, with the Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series Films production aimed at a worldwide September 11 release. The poster carries a Union Jack burning in the background, Deverakonda on horseback in a bloodied white shirt with a sword strapped behind him, sepoy lines swarming below. The visual settles a question the makers have been teasing since February: this is a late-1800s period film set in the heat of British Raj.
Rahul Sankrityan, who last directed Shyam Singha Roy in 2021, writes and directs. Rashmika Mandanna plays Jayamma, the female lead, in a role that doubles as her on-screen marriage to Deverakonda’s character. The two actors married in real life on February 26 in Udaipur, weeks before they shot the film’s wedding sequence on set. Ajay-Atul score, Nirav Shah is the cinematographer, and the cast includes Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy, The Mummy Returns) as the antagonist. T-Series Music holds audio rights and Netflix takes the digital window.
