Milo first look introduces Mugen Rao's four-legged partner
Kavin Moorthy's mystery follows a crime from 18 years ago, with Teju Ashwini in the cast and shooting completed across India and Malaysia.
Mugen Rao’s Milo first look is out, introducing a mystery in which a pet dog helps its human companion uncover the truth behind an 18-year-old crime. Written and directed by Kavin Moorthy, the film is produced by K.I. Suresh under SSR Entertainment, with the title, poster and a promo video now unveiled.
The poster places Mugen in a dark blue leather jacket beside the golden-coloured dog, with mountains and greenery stretching behind them. Its line, More Than a Pet, a Silent Witness, points to the animal’s importance to the story. According to the makers, the central mystery follows the hero’s efforts to piece together what happened years earlier with Milo’s help, within a film designed to appeal to a broad audience.
Mugen, whose films include Jinn - The Pet, stars alongside Teju Ashwini, with Ilavarasu, Munishkanth, Bigg Boss participant Janani, Suresh Menon and Adithya Kathir in the ensemble. Indraja, remembered by Tamil audiences for Engal Anna, plays a significant role too. The makers are presenting the film as her return to Tamil cinema after 20 years.
Filming has been completed across Chennai, Ooty, the Kolli Hills, Munnar, Thiruvananthapuram and Malaysia.
Jen Martin has composed the music, Jiju Sunny handles cinematography and Venkat Raajen edits. Uma Shankar and Jayamurugan are the art directors, while Kavin Moorthy has written the dialogues with Chandran. A. Raja serves as co-director, Mani Chandra and Viji handle choreography, and Phoenix Prabhu and Miracle Michael are responsible for the action sequences.
The makers have yet to announce the audio launch and theatrical release dates.
