The team behind Shambhala, the 2025 supernatural thriller that became one of Telugu cinema’s surprise hits, has announced its next project with Sundeep Kishan in the lead. Directed by Ugandhar Muni and produced by Shining Pictures’ Mahidhar Reddy and Rajashekhar Annabhimoju, the untitled socio-fantasy film is being planned as a pan-India release in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil.
A concept poster unveiled alongside the announcement sets the tone. Two predators, a lion and a wolf, face off across an ancient sword against a mythical battlefield. The tagline reads: “Some wars never end. Some kings never die.”

Shambhala, which starred Aadi Saikumar as a geoscientist investigating a meteorite crash in a folklore-rich village, grossed an estimated ₹17-25 crore and was widely regarded as his comeback vehicle. The new project represents a clear step up for the production house, with the makers describing it as one of the costliest films in Sundeep Kishan’s career.
Sundeep Kishan enters the project off a strong run of high-profile supporting roles. His turns in Dhanush’s Captain Miller and Raayan were well-received, with Raayan becoming the highest-grossing film he has been part of. A return to the lead in a large-scale fantasy marks the next phase of his career.

Pre-production is underway, with the regular shoot scheduled to begin in August 2026. Further casting and crew announcements are expected soon.
