Nani, SJ Suryah, Aishwarya Rajesh, Sunainaa and Samyuktha Vishwanathan are among the industry voices backing Prime Video's Exam ahead of its May 15 launch.

With about a week to go until launch, Prime Video’s Tamil suspense series Exam has pulled industry endorsements from a wider-than-usual circle of South Indian screen names. Telugu lead Nani has flagged the “excellent ensemble” and the team behind the show, while SJ Suryah extended his wishes for a “roaring success”.

The series is created by Pushkar and Gayatri under their Wallwatcher Films banner, the same outfit responsible for Suzhal: The Vortex and Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie. It is written and directed by A. Sarkunam, with Dushara Vijayan and Aditi Balan in the lead, and Abbas in a pivotal role. Several of the actors backing it publicly have crossover credits with the Wallwatcher universe: Samyuktha Vishwanathan, who broke out in Suzhal Season 2, called Exam “another banger” from the studio and said she “cannottt wait to binge watch”, while Anagha and Aishwarya Rajesh, both Wallwatcher alumni, have echoed the support.

Sunainaa, who anchored the Inspector Rishi procedural for Prime Video, said she could not wait to catch the show. Her Inspector Rishi co-star Gabriella Sellus also weighed in with wishes for the team. Together the reactions read less as PR-mandated chatter and more as a tight Wallwatcher-and-friends circle pulling for a sister project, which itself says something about how the studio is positioning Exam.

Exam will premiere on May 15 in Tamil with Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada dubs, plus subtitles in 15 languages, across 240-plus countries and territories. The earlier trailer drop had already set a procedural-meets-psychological-thriller register, and that is what the supporting actors keep circling back to in their notes. Eight days out, the question is whether the show converts the goodwill into the binge numbers Wallwatcher’s last two Tamil originals managed.
