Four friends, a cricket bat and a giant Gang 33 key: the campus comedy is leaning fully into its rowdy streak.

Padida Parama had already done the rounds on social media as a viral line. Raawadi has now turned it on its head. Adra Parama, the Raawadi first single, swaps the advice to study for a call to hit back, and arrives as a fast, thumping number aimed squarely at a young crowd.

Arivu sings the song, Uday wrote the lyrics, and Jen Martin composed it. M. Sherif choreographed the dance.

Raawadi pairs Malayalam star Basil Joseph with LK Akshay Kumar, who broke through with Sirai. Vignesh Vadivel, making his debut as director, wrote the film as a campus comedy entertainer. John Vijay, Jaffer Sadiq, Noble K. James, Shariq Hassan, Arunachaleswaran PA, Sathyan and Aishwarya Sharma are also in the cast.

Leon Britto shot the film, Barath Vikraman edited it, and P. S. Hariharan is the production designer. Priya Ravi designed the costumes and Don Ashok choreographed the stunts, with sound design by S. Alagiakoothan and Suren G. S. S. Lalit Kumar produces through Seven Screen Studio, with L. K. Vishnu Kumar as co-producer.

Raawadi opens worldwide on December 24, the same day Shah Rukh Khan’s KING arrives in cinemas.
